From the legend of St Patrick to “kissing the Blarney stone” Folklore is embedded in Irish culture. Experience the most beautiful scenery and sites of mythology and movies such as Star Wars and The Game of Thrones. Why not visit Ireland’s traditional islands that offer medieval forts, Celtic churches, dramatic cliffs and Irish speaking inhabitants or the charm of Ireland’s only Fjord. Day 1 Cork – Rock of Cashel – Blarney Castle
Bus Travel to Cork and stopping at the Rock of Cashel along the way. Legend has it St Patrick banished Satan from a cave resulting in the rock’s appearing in Cashel.
No journey can begin without the old famous Irish tradition and “Kiss the Blarney Stone” at the Blarney castle to bestow eloquence on oneself before experiencing local Artisan produce in the English Market. Then finish the day with a pint of the black stuff and Irish traditional music.
Day 2 – Mizen Head – Kinsale
A short bus journey to Mizen Head but why not stop for a photo at the fishing town of Kinsale embedded amongst the quaint housing of purple, hot pink and cerulean.
The next stop is Mizen Head the most southerly reach of Ireland and the real first scenic lookout spot on the Great Atlantic Way. Pathways, viewing platforms and Pedestrian bridges make this a great stop to view the lighthouse and the great Atlantic Ocean. There is also an opportunity to view whales, Dolphins, seals and their pups on the rocks below.

Afternoon coach travel to Kenmore, a haven of tranquillity on the Ring of Kerry
Day 3 – Ring of Kerry – Skellig Michael – killarney
Travel around the Ring of Kerry with majestic photo opportunities of rustic Irish scenes including photos of Skellig Michael (clear day prevailing) where Star Wars was filmed with scenes of Luke Skywalker and Rey. If that’s not enough we want to finish by Irish Whiskey tasting masterclass in Kerry’s city of Killarney. Learn to appreciate Irish Whiskey and the “water of life” courses range from novices to experts. Pair it with cheese or chocolate.
Locate Ladies view were the last place in Ireland you can encounter Leprechaun, a type of fairy represented as a little bearded man who partakes in mischief and has a hidden pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
Day 4 – Clare – Cliffs of Moher – Galway – Kinvara
Travel by bus to the edge of the world and encounter nature at its’ wildest by walking along the rugged cliffs of Moher and share some of the folklore with Pat’s cliff walks.
Then on to Galway City not before stopping to take a selfie at the most photographed castle in Ireland in Kinvara in Galway Bay; Dungaire castle where the Game of Thrones was shot.

Day 5 – Galway – Arran islands – Connemara – Roundstone
Take the scenic ferry ride to the romantic Aran Islands that offers a glimpse of old Ireland with its’ medieval forts, Celtic churches, dramatic cliffs and Irish-speaking inhabitants.
The next journey is by bus to Roundstone, Connemara where you will check-in and relax in your hotel and enjoy the local famous seafood accompanied by white wine.
Day 6 – Connemara – Clifden – Westport – Sligo
Wake up to a hearty breakfast or brunch looking out over the Roundstone harbour from the picturesque row of houses, bars and restaurants enjoying local seafood.
Onward bound through the lively Clifden to Westport for a spot of hearty seafood chowder at the West Bar and then on to Killary harbour, a tremendous Fjord for a shortstop and photo opportunity.
Strand hill village in Sligo is our next stop, this seaside village produces some of the biggest surf waves in the world and also produces Voya seaweed products to help detox or destress.

Day 7 – Donegal – Slieve League – Malin Head
Our next destination is County Donegal to enjoy a leisurely walk up or drive to the wonder of the granite faces of Slieve League and the finest views of the Wild Atlantic Way before finishing your visit at Irelands most northerly point, Malin Head which featured greatly in the Star Wars franchise.
Travel to Ballyliffan to your final hotel and rest place.
Folklore states that a fisherman left his son on the beach and the tide was too strong to get back to shore. He was left for dead but he was found there one day and legend has it, that seals carried the boy to safety and brought him fish to eat.
