Day 1 – Co. Clare – Cliffs of Moher

Travel to County Clare by bus and have the backdrop of the Clare countryside. The Cliffs of Moher Retreat focuses on yoga, mindfulness, rest, delicious cuisine in the surroundings of the Wild Atlantic Way. Learn about food philosophy that leaves as little footprint as possible.

This first stop allows you to rest, recover and reflect on one’s personal reasoning for taking this journey. You will combine yoga and rugged nature through hiking to ground your feet and adapt your mind to this wonderful enchanting country and the reflection ahead.

Day 2 – Galway – Mayo

Travel to the village of Cong that straddles the counties of Galway and Mayo, home to the father of Oscar Wilde and the location of John Ford’s Oscar-winning film “The Quiet Man”.

Walkthrough Cong Forest which was formally owned by the Guinness family until 1939. Stroll the Abbey grounds and fall into deep history. The last High King of Ireland, Rory O Connor for the final years of his life in the old Abbey.

Upon reaching the river there is an old stone building called “the Monks fishing house”. Here the monks spent their days praying and meditating and practicing their fishing skills. Why not throw in a fishing line and settle back to a time of rich history and a feeling of peace and tranquillity.

Day 3 & 4 – Westport – Croagh Patrick

Take a Short bus ride to Killadagan house Westport overlooking Clew Bay in an old Victorian house for a 2-day refuge for Equine Assisted personal development and learning. This is an experimental learning approach promoting the development of educational, professional and personal goals. All exercises are carried out on the ground. The horse offers egoless and nonjudgemental reflections to the human. Clients learn individual strengths and vulnerabilities with positive effects on stress levels, reduced feelings of anger, tension and anxiety.

Activities take up to 3 hours daily

Wild Atlantic Learning optional activity:

  • Climb Croagh Patrick (3-4 hours in total)

Ireland’s Holy Mountain where St Patrick banished all snakes from Ireland.

A wonderful pilgrimage experience to pay homage to Ireland’s patron saint.

Day 5 – Co. Sligo – Mullaghmore – Strandhill

An early coach ride to the coastal town of Strand hill for Mind Calm Meditation with John G; personal life coach. For over 15 years John has helped people from all walks of life to overcome their fears and phobias.

This activity will help you realise that it is not life’s problems that are distracting or clouding your mind but your thoughts and feelings about the situation (not the situation itself). You will be encouraged to make peace with them and develop more positive energy. In turn, this encourages a greater sense of contentment and a feeling of calm. As a reward empowering and enriching your day-to-day life.

A 30-minute scenic coach ride to the peninsula of Mullaghmore to experience the raw attraction of the Wild Atlantic Way and a backdrop of the monolithic shape of Ben Bulban Mountain. Let the crashing of the waves ground you in the present moment, allowing it to awaken your conscious mind as you breathe in the fresh sea air putting into practice your learning from the morning.

Travel to Dublin and check into your hotel.

Day 6 – Newgrange – Dublin

On our last day, we travel to the prehistoric monument of Newgrange built around 3200 BC making it older than Stonehenge and the pyramids. Its entrance is aligned with the rising sun and the winter solstice. This passage tomb helps you realise our existence in relation to time and history. You should consider your own journey and embrace your experiences on your mind, body and soul.

Return to Dublin to your hotel and relax.
